How scammers might contact you.

Phone calls.
Scammers may call you out of the blue, this may come from an unknown number or a number 'spoofed' to look like a number you know. 
Text messages.
Scammers may send you a text message asking for details or with a link.
Emails.
Scammers will regularly send emails asking you for details or with links attempting to get you to visit fake websites and provide additional details.

Beware of scams. Keep yourself and your money safe.

If you think something seems to good to be true, then it probably is.

Beyond Bank will never ask you to make a transaction, share online banking security codes or request remote access to your device.

Do not hand over your information if you receive unsolicited requests for personal or financial information by phone, text message or email. If in doubt, call us on 13 25 85.

What to expect when you report a scam via phone or in branch

Reporting.

It is really important that you advise us straight away if you think you have been scammed. This enables us to start the investigation which can make a difference in recalling any funds lost or preventing further losses.

Investigation.

After receiving all the necessary information, our team will start the investigation. 

Depending on factors such as the complexity and type of scam, and the response times from other financial institutions involved, investigations can take anything from seven to 45 business days to complete.

Request for further information and progress updates.

Throughout the investigation, we may call or email you to ask for further information and update you with any material progress.

If you haven’t heard from us, it means we’re still working on your case. We’ll get in touch once we have an update for you.

Outcome.

Once we’ve completed our investigation, send you a formal letter let you know the outcome.
